Qantas and China Eastern extend partnership

From October 25, the airlines will co-locate their operations in Terminal 1 at Shanghai Pudong airport, providing passengers with improved connection times and "streamlined" check-in facilities. Qantas flyers will be able to access China Eastern's new lounge and more easily connect to 67 codeshare services operated by the Chinese carrier, including new destinations such as Changchun, Jinan and Wuhan. From November 1, Qantas passengers will be able to make codeshare bookings on China Eastern's double-daily Sydney-Shanghai and Melbourne– Shanghai services. Vietnam Airlines adds sixth weekly service to Heathrow

From October 25, the carrier will fly a B787-9 three-times weekly between the two cities. It also operates a three-times weekly service between LHR and Hanoi. The airline, which is the first southeast Asian carrier to to serve Europe with the B787-9, said it plans to run a daily service between Heathrow and Vietnam next summer. Currently, flights VN54/55 between LHR and Hanoi fly on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, while flights VN50/51 operate on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Art’otel to open Battersea Power Station hotel

Due to open in 2019, Art'otel London Battersea will be built around the historic Grade II-listed building and feature an outdoor bar and swimming pool overlooking the iconic chimneys. The 160-plus bedroom hotel will be developed by Battersea Power Station and managed by PPHE Hotel Group, owner of the Art'otel brand. Gatwick unveils Premium Passport Control service

Use of the exclusive lane costs £12.50 per person and, to minimise waiting times, is limited to 50 passengers per hour. Anybody can use the service, which LGW has launched in conjunction with the UK Border Force, and not just business and first class passengers. It is available to EU and non-EU passengers from 0600 until 0000 daily, except on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Etihad reduces Dublin and Edinburgh flights

The Gulf carrier will also cut some flights to Chengdu and Kuala Lumpur, reports airlineroute.net. The Abu Dhabi-Dublin service will be reduced from twice-daily to 12/13-times weekly between December 1 and 31. EY014/048 will not operate on Tuesdays, nor will select Sunday flights. From January 11 until the start of the summer season on March 26 and then on to June 16, EY014/048 will be cancelled and the route will be operated daily by a B777-300ER, instead of an A330-200, as EY045/042. Qatar Airways to return to Nagpur

The Gulf carrier last flew to the Indian city between September 2007 and May 2009. It will roster a daily A320 — configured in two classes with 12 seats in business and 132 in economy — on to the Doha-Nagpur route from December 1. Outbound service QR588 will depart Doha at 1955 and arrive in Nagpur at 0215 the next day. Return leg QR589 will leave Nagpur at 0345 and land in Doha at 0555.
