IHG to open first Intercontinental property in Bulgaria

The existing Radisson Blu Grand Hotel Sofia will be rebranded as the Intercontinental Sofia once refurbishment works have been completed. Under its new branding the hotel will feature 182 rooms, seven meetings rooms, five boardrooms, a lobby bar, spa facilities, a fitness centre and a rooftop restaurant overlooking the city’s main square and Nevski Cathedral. It’s not clear if the property will close while the refurbishment takes place – Business Traveller has checked with IHG and will publish any response here.
