TAM Airlines takes delivery of A350

The carrier will commence the wide-body airplane commercially between Sao Paulo and Manaus in Brazil in January 2016. Its A350 features a premium two-class layout with 348 seats, comprising of 30 seats in business class and 318 in economy. Seats in economy are 18-inches wide. LATAM Airlines Group, made up of LAN Airlines and TAM Airlines, has ordered a total of 27 A350 XWB to add to its fleet. Emirates allowed extra A380 flights at Schiphol

News »  Published: 19/12/2015 - Filed under: News » The Dutch government has now granted permission to operate an additional A380 flight at Amsterdam Schiphol, according to reports. Emirates already operates a twice daily service (the other flight is currently flown by B777-300ER)  from the Dutch airport so it means it will be able to both offer a more attractive product for both flights and provide more seats to passengers. As we have previously reported (see news November 19), the news that Emirates wished to operate a twice daily A380 service at Schiphol did not go down well with both national airline KLM and the Dutch pilots’ union VNV. Hilton Worldwide opens Hilton Bournemouth

The 172-room Hilton Bournemouth is the brand's 67th hotel in the UK, joining recent additions in London Bankside (see news, October 14) and Southampton. The 50-storey five-star hotel which has been designed to resemble a falcon’s head, is offering opening rates from QAR895 (£165) per room, per night. London Stansted set for Europe’s largest Hampton by Hilton

The 357-room new-build Hampton by Hilton Stansted Airport will cost £45 million and is due to open in summer 2017. It will be located on a two-acre site adjacent to the terminal building, to which it will have direct access. Construction is scheduled to commence by the end of the year. Onyx announces two new China properties

Shama Daqing Heilongjiang is scheduled to open in late 2016, with Amari Yangshou Guilin due to welcome guests from 2017. The latter is one of nine properties the group is due to open in China that year. Shama Daqing Heilongjiang will contain 110 serviced apartments and will be located in the central business district of Daqing in the Heilongjiang province. Amaris rebrands second Brighton hotel as Jurys Inn

The agreement will see the hotel become Jurys Inn Brighton Waterfront, the brand's second property in the town, by the fourth quarter. Amaris said it is investing £5.6 million in the refurbishing the property's 210 guestrooms and its conference and meeting room facilities.
